FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How do we book you?

Once booking details have been confirmed (such as performance length or package and approximate timings), you pay a deposit, usually of 25% in order to secure the booking. This is made by bank transfer or cheque. Contact me to discuss a potential booking.

What type of music do you sing?

My vocal repertoire is vast and varied. It includes Swing and Jazz standards and Pop classics from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I can also a perform range of contemporary songs. Artists include Frank Sinatra, Ed Sheeran, George Benson, Michael Bublé and many, many more.

Can you provide Interval Music between sets and a DJ Service?

Yes. I can provide interval music between sets at your Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast. I also offer as streamlined DJ-style service – it’s time to get your guests dancing! This involves combining expert music choices and unparalleled sound quality. I can take requests too!

Can we have input with your set lists for my Wedding?

You can have as much or as little input with music choices as you wish. Most couples provide a general indication of their favourite style of music and leave set lists to my experience. Other couples prefer more input with individual songs. I enjoy using my experience to include the right song within the right set, and perform it at the most appropriate time.

Can you play the Saxophone as well at our Wedding?

I offer professional Saxophone services, both within some of my packages but also as a bespoke optional extra. Set lists are tailored to the specific time of performance, e.g Party music at the evening wedding reception, and more chilled easy listening and Jazz during the Wedding Breakfast.

What type of music do you play on the Saxophone?

My Saxophone repertoire includes many Swing and Jazz standards originally composed by the likes of Cole Porter and Gershwin, but also Pop, Soul and Motown hits made famous by Michael Jackson, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Queen, Andy Williams and Alicia Keys.

What are the most popular booking options?

Most clients book one of my special packages. Besides that, most people book a 1 x 60 minute, 2 x 45 minute or a 2 x 60 minute performance. Contact me to discuss your requirements.

We have booked you for our Evening Wedding Party. Can you also perform at our Wedding Breakfast?

Yes! Live music during the Wedding Breakfast can really enhance the atmosphere and ambience. Performing during this period – either subtle, easy listening material and jazz or something more lively – will be really valued by guests at your Wedding. I can also provide interval music and my wireless mic for speeches.

You are performing at our Wedding Breakfast, can we use your wireless microphone and PA system for speeches?

Most certainly. This will be setup for your use.

What equipment do you use? Is it PAT tested?

I only use the very best, highest quality and most reliable equipment in order to reach my highest standards every time. At your Wedding, I’ll be using a Bose L1 PA system, which looks fantastic and sounds amazing. I also have a smaller Bose PA system which is ideal for smaller rooms and even more discreet setups. All equipment has the necessary PAT testing.

Where have you performed before?

I have performed at Weddings in hundreds of hotels, venues and function rooms across the UK. Within the North West where I am based, I tend to frequently perform at the same outstanding venues. Some of my favourites venues include The Raquet Club, 30 James Street, The Titanic Hotel, Oh Me Oh My, 60 Hope Street, Knowsley Hall, Raddison Blu, Allerton Manor, Beeston Manor, Hilton Hotels and Holiday Inn.
